Known for producing some of the finest cashmere in the world, Alxa is home to a unique breed of goats that grow an exceptionally soft undercoat. This undercoat — a fine layer of down around the roots of the goat's hair — grows during the coldest months and sheds naturally in spring, allowing for ethical and sustainable collection.
